Question Garter Snakes and Frogs

Where can I find snakes and frogs? Any specific locations? I don't want to keep them, just look at them. I know where to find wood frogs, but tree frogs I've never found.

You wont find anyone (reputable) who will give specific locations on an open forum....

Reason being, I am sure that there is more than one disreputable "collector" out there looking to "Rape and Pillage" the wild....sad but true.

"Rape and Pillage" aren't the right words. I was just asking when they would come out and where their natural habitats would be. (in marshy areas, dry areas....) I would never harm the environment intentionally!! And I didn't say i was going to collect, I was going to just observe.

I was not even remotely implying that YOU were one of those "collectors"

nope he was just letting you know plenty un named people on this forum would take these locations ( if he were to post them) and take advantage of natures beauty. not to mention there are probaby going to be a few reptile bashers looking for those sites as well. there for no reputable person or person(s) will post these locations on an open thread just for the saftey of the snakes and frogs out there, sorry but you could ask questions like what type of places should i look i.e wood like, swamps, ponds, lakes, bush ect. so you can find your own snake of frog breeding grounds good luck

I'll keep my eyes alert. I'll check in the valleys and in the sun and I'll tell you guys if I see anything, if you like.

Just go for a walk in the river valley on a nice day. I have been down there 4 times this year so far and I have yet to leave without seeing at least one garter snake.
