10th ANNIVERSARY

With many new things for the BIG 10! In 2011.

Tones of great door prizes from businesses in central AB, last time we did this there were two prizes given out every 15min throughout the whole 8hrs the doors were open. This included a prize for person paying when the timer goes off and one for a vendor at the show.

Local radio stations are getting us in to help out with contests throughout the yr which is giving us a lot more radio time before the show. Bonnie just finished doing one with people and phobias, snakes and spiders, lol. They had to face their fears by holding either the snake or spider and they won tickets to the Ozzy concert in Calgary.

We are also working on 10th Anniversary T-shirts and other little things for vendors and public to thank everyone for the support over the past 10 yrs.

I do know we are going to have one heck of a time as this is going to be a huge celebration for the BIG 10. Ten years of one of the finest, most fun and the largest show to date in Western Canada.

Yeah, We've been booked at the BIG one since this summer. This is the first I hear of the other one, one week earlier.

10th Anniversary... usually one would take that to be an event happening for 10 consecutive years, not interrupted when one's ball is taken home and they don't want to do a show, then get pissy when someone else does a good job of it in their place.

Nobody wins in this... not the vendors, not the public, not the investors in either show. Just petty, pathetic politics.

Is this the one taht was cancled last year a short time before it was suposed to happen? I heard the one that happened in Red Deer was really good. I was told by more than one person if you only go to 1 show go to Red Deer.

I see nothing in that definition that says anything about consecutive years.

It blows my mind how quickly people seem to forget.
I can't be the only one who read the posts that Walter put up on the forums when he cancelled the show stating that they were taking a break from 2010 for family reasons. I don't remember reading anywhere that said they were done with the shows in Red Deer for good.

I really hate the politics that go on behind the scenes in this community.

Walter posted about a show that is happening 10 months from now. A show that he and Bonnie put on every year minus last year. A show put on in Red Deer during the month of August.
I fail to see how this is petty...and I wonder exactly where the politics in this thread stem from. I certainly don't see them in the OP post.
