how did this turn out?
I wish i would have been on here sooner...... The best bet when they first come in is to acclimate them to heat...... I got a good warm bathroom i get em going in for a day before getting them into a 81f tank...... its cold even in heated cargo and they go through a slup for sure.......
After that, if the breeder/seller insists they are in good health would be a shock to the system that the stereroids would cure but would follow with a respetory infection of some sort if it was a bad shock..... Turning the heat to 82-83 and slowing down the food should have cured this as well as killing the lights and if in a high traffic area covering with a blanket (they are quite shy) to keep stresses down.....
Thats my 2 bits on these guys, hardy, HARDY species in my books and super easy to care for if you have good filtration and alot of space.
